Born in Savannah, Georgia
Graduated from Xavier University and the Chase College of Law of Northern Kentucky University.
Served two tours in the US Navy in 1968
Earned the Bronze Star
Worked in Commercial Beverage Industry in Plant Operations; the Food Service Industry as a Vice-President; and Director of Professional Devlopment for Business and Industry at Spartanburg Community College.
