Storm Team 7 meteorologists reported on Tuesday that a weak cold front has fizzled out over the region, but there still has been a small push of cooler air which should make today a little cooler than yesterday for most of us.
There could be a range of temperatures in the Upstate this afternoon from the mid 70s to near 80, with areas farther south more likely to see extra sunshine than areas to the north where some stubborn clouds may persist.
A strong storm system will approach from the west for Wednesday and Thursday. Look for clouds to thicken up overnight, with some mountain areas seeing a slight chance for showers late. We will all have rain chances Wednesday through Thursday, with some moderately heavy rain possible in a few areas.
Extra clouds will keep us cool in the afternoons.
A chance for some showers could linger into Friday before the clouds break some; lingering moisture could keep some clouds mixed with our sun into the weekend.
