COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The former president of the University of South Carolina says he's taken a post with a New York-based executive search firm.
Andrew Sorensen said Monday he's been named vice chairman of the board for Loree Newmyer Sulkowicz. He'll help the newly formed firm search for board-level executives for both public and private organizations.
Sorensen retired this summer after six years as the president of the University of South Carolina but stayed on as a professor at the university's medical school.
Before taking the post at USC, Sorensen served as president of the University of Alabama and as provost at the University of Florida.
