Residents allowed to return to nursing home facility after smoke filled the facility on Tuesday night.
Four fire units from Cherokee County responded to a fire call at a Gaffney nursing home Tuesday night.
Firefighters responded to the Brookview Nursing Home, located at 510 Thompson Street, in Gaffney shortly after 9 pm Tuesday evening. Authorities say they found smoke in the facility and had to evacuate approximately 30 people before they determined that the smoke originated from a nurse call box.
Resident have been allowed to return to the facility.
