The following press release was sent to wspa.com on Tuesday by the Anderson County Sheriff's Office:
Piedmont, SC On October 26, 2008 at 12:30 pm Canes Corner convenience store was the victim of a $3,000 grand larceny. A white male entered the store and brought items to the counter as if to purchase them. Suspect then advised the manager of the store that there was water in the floor by the cooler. As the manager retrieved a mop the suspect stepped behind the counter and carried away three bags full of money.
