SJWD customers will be allowed to water outdoors following a relaxing of restrictions after a Friday morning meeting of commissioners.
Customers who live at homes with an even number address will be allowed to water on Thursdays and Sundays according to Larry Christopher with SJWD.
Customers who live at addresses with odd numbers will be allowed to water on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Sprinkling lawns, plants, trees, and other flora on private or public property including adjoining property owners on our reservoirs was prohibited on July 31.
The SJWD service area covers approximately 128 square miles in western Spartanburg County. The service area stretches from Highway 417 in the south to Highway 11 in the north, from Interstate 26 in the east to the Greenville County line in the west.
The Middle Tyger River (Lyman Lake), and the North Tyger River (lakes Cooley and North Tyger Reservoir) are the sources of water for SJWD customers according to the company website.
