Attended Spartanburg County schools; graduated college from the University of South Carolina.

While in college, worked as a law clerk for the South Carolina House Judiciary Committee.

Practices law as a Business Attorney.

Married to the former Suzanne Curry Boulware of Columbia.

Son of longtime Spartanburg County Circuit Court Judge, J. Durham Cole. Father held the House District 32 seat from 1988-1993.

Running for seat previously held by News Channel 7 Political Analyst and former Speaker Pro Tem Doug Smith from 1993-2008.

Defeated Christina Jeffery in the Republican Primary.
