Will Rothschild is the Democratic challenger for SC House District 32. He is running against Derham Cole, Jr.

Will Rothschild was born on August 21, 1972, in El Paso, Texas.

Rothschild graduated from Walter Hines Page High School in Greensboro, NC in 1990.

Earned a BA in Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.

Rothschild worked as a Sports Reporter on the staff at the Asheville Citizen-Times, eventually rising to the rank of Assistant Sports Editor at the newspaper.

Married to the former Carey Justice, a native of Asheville. The couple's first child, Alex, was born eight months after Will started working at the Spartanburg Herald-Journal in 1999. Sarah was born two years later.

Rothschild became a six-time award-winning reporter and editor during his time at the Herald-Journal. His work was recognized by the South Carolina Press Association and the New York Times Company with awards.
