An animal shelter is a place where a lot of animals don't get a second chance.
Especially at shelters in some of our smaller counties where few people actually come in looking to adopt a pet.
But three sisters have found a way to bring the potential pets into people's homes.
They go to the Cherokee County animal shelter to take video of dogs.
They spend about 15 minutes with each animal. They post the videos to the internet where more people than ever are searching for pets.
They call it operation snowball because they say the dogs have a snowball's chance in a very warm climate of getting out alive in the shelters.
Since February 95% of the dogs they have featured have been saved.
Of the dogs that have been taken out of the shelter many of those have been placed with rescue groups who take care of them and find them a home.
So there are plenty of animals that need adopting.
