A Pickens County woman has been charged with unlawful neglect of a child after he newborn tested positive for methamphetamines.
Kristin Nicole Lesley, 25, is being held in the Pickens County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
Sheriff's investigators say her newborn son was tested for drugs on March 24. The test results were positive. Authorities say Lesley is the lone caregiver for the baby and the child would be at risk in her care.
The arrest warrant says Lesley used meth between June 2008 and March 2009 while she was pregnant.
