A man from Central, South Carolina is under arrest in North Carolina on several drug charges.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office charged Jerry Lee Trantham, 56, for felony possession of marijuana, felony possession with intent to sell marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The sheriff's office says the made the arrest on april 24 as part of an ongoing investigation. Officers say they caught Trantham with 4.4 pounds of marijuana and $1,300 cash.
Trantham is being held at the Jackson County Detention Center under a $20,000 bond.
