» 5 Comments | Post a Comment

**Update 2:00 p.m.**
Master Deputy Tony Ivey with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's office says one of their deputies was trying to pull a car over than was driving recklessly and had already caused an accident. The suspect would not pull over though and the officer who wrecked was one who was driving in to help.
Ivey says this was a single car crash and the patrol car flipped. The Sheriff's Office called off the original chase and that suspect got away.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a Spartanburg County deputy was involved in a single car accident Monday afternoon. HP says rolled his patrol vehicle over when attempting to stop another vehicle at Duncan Reidville and Victor Hill Roads. The deputy was on a possible reckless driver call. The highway patrol says the deputy went off the right side of the road, over corrected, and then rolled over. The deputy was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center with a minor arm injury.

The deputy's name has not be released.
