A line of afternoon thunderstorms pounded portions of Spartanburg County Tuesday evening. In the storm's wake; uprooted trees, downed power lines and frayed nerves were the theme of the evening. One of the hardest hits areas was along Highway 11 near Campobello. One man had a tree split in half and thrown into his yard. Downed trees and lawn furniture littered the roadway, and Duke Energy crews worked to restore power to the area. Winds up to 65 mph were reported, but there were no tornado warnings. There were no reported injuries.
Storm Team 7's Christy Henderson says Wednesday may see another round of afternoon storms.
