The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that left the victim with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Deputies say the call about a man being shot in Greer in the 100 block of Stratford Road came in at 1:30am Wednesday.
The victim was reportedly in the area visiting a friend when he got in a vehicle with people that he knew. A witness stated that the vehicle pulled away, and shortly thereafter, the vehicle was approached by two men.
One of the men had a handgun and ordered the victim and another man out of the car. The witness ran from the area, but says he heard a gunshot.
The 20-year old victim was concious and could talk to investigators when EMS arrived. he was taken to Greenville Hospital System.
The victim's name and condition have not been released.
