Twitter Down

NEW YORK (AP) - Twitter is down. For users of the short
messaging site, this means no tweeting about lunch plans, the
weather or the fact that Twitter is down.
The company says in its status blog Thursday morning it is
determining the cause and will provide an update shortly.
The status blog lets users know about planned outages and other
issues on Twitter. This outage was not planned.
It's not clear when the outage began, but it appears to have
started midmorning Eastern time.
Major Internet services including Twitter do undergo unplanned
outages from time to time because of overcapacity and other
problems.
Amy Wood is tracking the latest and has more on the cause of the problem. Click here.
