Seneca police chief John Covington says the baby's biological father, 22 year old Matthew Taylor Hinton is charged with homicide by child abuse.
Brianna R. Bright died in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Greenville Memorial Hospital.
The Seneca Police Department began the investigation on Sunday night after this child was discovered not breathing by her father.
The child was resuscitated by EMS and taken to the Oconee Medical Center emergency department where she was stabilized and transferred to Greenville.
The autopsy was performed Thursday at the AnMed Medical Center morgue.
The autopsy showed that Brianna died from a closed head injury as a result of blunt force trauma.
