Firefighters from four departments battled a blaze that consumed a house in Gray Court late Friday afternoon.
The fire broke out at a home on Church St. around 5 pm, according to Laurens County Fire Coordinator Greg Lindley. Lindley says firefighters from Gray Court, Youngsm Greenpond and Fountain Inn fire departments responded to the scene and found the home fully engulfed.
The home is a rental house and Lindley says that the occupants managed to escape without injuries. He says that the fire started in a back bedroom, but they do not know have a cause.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire, but the house was destroyed.
