A Greenville woman has drowned in a community pool.
Greenville County Deputy Coroner Karie Cain says that 40-year old Laura Perry, of Braelock Court, was found unresponsive in the deep end of the Avalon Reserve community pool. Emergency workers attempted to revive Perry and she was transported the Village At Pelham hospital where she was pronounced dead at 2:07 Saturday afternoon.

On Friday night a home caught fire at 1216 Sardis Road in Union. Mike Lancaster with the Southside Fire Department says that four fire departments responded to the fire.
