Daytime Shootout on Busy Spartanburg Street Has Police Looking For Suspects

»  Comments | Post a Comment

A shootout along a busy road in broad daylight and now police are searching for the suspects.

It happened Saturday afternoon just before 4pm along East Henry Street near the intersection with South Converse Street in Spartanburg. A couple of contractors, working on the Hot Spot, witnessed the whole thing. The men tell News Channel 7 that the two vehicles ran a red light and sped up Henry Street side by side. They say at least one person in each car was shooting at the opposite car.

Police say the two cars parted at South Church Street. Public Safety Officers searched for the suspects but came up empty-handed.

No one has been reported to have been injured.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video from the Hot Spot to see if any of the shooting was caught on tape.
