News Channel 7 has gotten several calls today about channel changes on Charter cable. We called Charter for more information. The company tells us the channels were changed to group similar channels together. Charter says customers were first notified in July. The channel changes are expected to be finished Tuesday night. Below is a release sent from Charter Communications:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS MAKES CHANGES TO LINEUP

Charter Communications today will complete a realignment of its cable television channels, grouping similar channels by genre: news, sports, family, music, HD, and so on. Many channels will move from their current locations.

Additionally, the reconfigured line up will allow for the addition of new programming, including HD Channels and HD On Demand in many markets. On Demand allows viewers to watch the newest movie releases and other programming at any time they choose.

Channel lineups should be complete by this evening. For more information, call 888-GET CHARTER or visit or Click Here for full channel guide.
