Blacksburg SC was first to say they were dealing with phony 100 dollar bills showing up at businesses.
In the Blacksburg cases-police are looking for an african american man, who is seen on the video placing a big bill on the counter, but when questioned by the clerk, he runs off.
Officers tells us these bills are so good in quality they are passing the counterfeit tests.
The bills appear to be bleached 5 dollar bills with 100 dollar denominations printed onto it.
Police say until their man is caught-business owner beware.
The secret service is expected this week in Cherokee County to investigate this growing counterfeit scheme.
