News Channel 7 has learned that Samantha Jackson no longer works for Greenwood School District 51. Superintendent Fay Sprouse issued the following statement:
“Ms. Jackson has voluntarily resigned from employment with Ware Shoals School District. “
The superintendent says no additional information will be released about Samantha Jackson.
Greenwood District 51 has confirmed a teacher has been placed administrative leave Monday morning.
Samantha Jackson teaches physical education at Ware Shoals Primary School according to Superintendent Fay S. Sprouse. Jackson has been placed on administrative leave with pay according to Sprouse, who says the district can't comment further because this is a personnel matter.
Jackson has also served as volleyball and girls's basketball coach for Ware Shoals High School. The South Carolina High School League lists Jackson as head coach for those teams in their current 2009-2010 handbook.
This is Jackson's third year with the district according to Sprouse.
