**Tuesday 10:19 a.m. Update**
James Michael Duck, 25, of Lyman was arrested after he sought treatment at Greenville hospital System at 12:30a.m. Tuesday. The South Carolina Highway Patrol charged Duck with felony DUI resulting in death and leaving the scene with death.

The Greenville County Coroner's Office says Kandys Darlene Batson, 25, from Landrum was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:49 p.m. Monday. Batson was partially thrown from the Honda Prelude which landed on her chest. Batson died from multiple blunt force injuries to her chest according to deputy coroner Mike Ellis.
Duck and Batson were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash according to Corporal Kathy Hiles of the SCHP.
One person is dead after a one car accident in northern Greenville County, and authorities say they driver of the vehicle is on the loose
South Carolina Highway Patrol and Greenville County EMS officials responded to Tugaloo Road, Highway 11 just before 8:00 p.m. Monday. Lance Cpl. Kathy Hiles with the South Carolina Highway Patrol says that a female occupant in the vehicle was killed and the driver of the car managed to escape on foot.
The car went off the side of Tugaloo Road and down an embankment and into a grassy field. Hiles says that the driver is a white male, wearing a white t-shirt with cut-out sleeves,
Thus far, the identity of the victim and the suspect's name have yet to be released. If you have information on the search for the suspected runaway driver, call the SCHP at 864-241-1000.
