The death of a 10-month old Williamston child was caused by over-exposure to insecticide, according to the Anderson County coroner's office.
Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown says that toxicology results indicated that 10-month old Jacob Whitfield died in November after suffering from organic phosphate poisoning. Investigators said they found more than half-dozen used insecticide foggers in the mobile hoem where the toddler was found.
Whitfield's mother, Elizabeth, and her two-year old son, Kenneth, were also hospitalized with severe breathing problems and were released from the hospital just two weeks ago, McCown said.
