Free Training for Eligible CNA Students Through Spartanburg Community College

Spartanburg, S.C. –Spartanburg Community College’s Corporate & Community Education Division, in partnership with the Union County Adult Education Center and Career Source, will offer a Nursing Assistant-Arrhythmia Monitor Technician Certificate class at Union High School for students enrolled in the Adult Education Center’s Certified Nursing Assistant Program.

Program fees for eligible students will be covered by Career Source.

The program combines nursing assistant training and arrhythmia monitor technician training for a multi-skilled CNA certificate. Students will learn the anatomy of the heart, how to read a heart monitor machine and how to identify normal and abnormal heart rhythms. Classes begin January 25.

Students completing the program will be qualified for multi-skilled CNA positions at nursing homes, hospitals, home health services and doctor’s offices.

Those interested in the program must pre-register at the Union County Adult Education Center by December 18. For additional information or to determine eligibility, contact the Adult Learning Center at (864) 429-1770.
