A Sunday afternoon drive down White Horse Road ended in a shootout and kidnapping.

The incident happened around 3 pm Sunday on White Horse Road, near W. Blue Ridge Drive in Greenville County. According to Lt. Tim Ridgeway of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, two men and a woman narrowly escaped from a car after a man pistol whipped one of them and shot another.

Ridgeway said that the incident began after a drug deal at a nearby motel room went bad Saturday night.

He said that the two unidentified men who allegedly ripped off the others, were kicked out of their motel room and walked down the road and called a woman for a ride. The woman then showed up with the two unidentified men who were allegedly ripped off.

All five people were in the car, when one of the men pistol whipped another man and another man pushed the woman out of the car and then jumped out himself. One of the men in the car then opened fire and struck the man in the neck and almost shot the woman. The shooting victim and the woman ran for help at a nearby McDonald's and Taco Bell.

The shooting victim suffered a gunshot wound to the neck, but he is expected to survive.

Ridgeway says that the alleged kidnapping victim maanaged to escape and go for help at the McDonald's as well. Ridgeway says that the Sheriff's Office has an identity for two suspects and are searching for them.
