**Tuesday morning Update **
Greenville County sheriff's deputies called off the search late Monday night for a man. The person authorities are looking for remains at large. The Sheriff's Office is not sure if the man involved in the chase Monday night is involved in the shooting and kidnapping which occurred Sunday afternoon.
**Monday night**
Greenville County Sheriff's officers and K-9 units are at the scene of a chase that occured around 8 pm Monday night.
The chase started on West Blue Ridge Drive, near White Horse Road. According to a Sheriff's Office spokesman, a car was stopped and a man jumped out and ran. The unidentified man has led police on a near three hour foot pursuit through the area and near the Woodside community.
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit is at the scene. Authortites have been searching for a suspect involved in a shooting and kidnapping Sunday afternoon in the same area, but the Sheriff's Office spokesman says they are not sure if the search is related to that incident at this time. The spokesman says they are treating the suspect as being armed.
