Also injured were 20-year old Christopher Sutton, 15-year old Kaitlyn Sutton, 14-year old William Dakota Melvin, 18-year old Ashley Lasley and 20-year old Joel Jackson, all of Anderson. Thus far, the extent of their injuries have yet to be determined, although Shore did say that Jackson was undergoing surgery at the hospital. All are reportedly students or former students at TL Hanna High School.
McDougald says the accident is under investigation by the Highway Patrol MAIT investigative team. Shore says that alcohol appears to have played a role in the accident.
