The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is seeking assistance with Wanted Armed Robbery and Kidnapping Suspects

Deputies say Sunday, December 13, 2009 the Sheriff's Office received two consecutive 911 calls from the Taco Bell, located at 3409 W Blue Ridge Drive and the McDonald's located at 6103 White Horse Road. The caller at the Taco Bell stated that a female and bleeding male just ran inside of the business. The caller at the McDonald's stated he along with his friends, were shot at while in a car on W Blue Ridge Drive.

Responding Deputies met with three victims at the Taco Bell restaurant; which included the caller from McDonald's. Deputies were told that a friend name Cassandra Mitchell picked the three victims up at the Greyhound bus station in downtown Greenville. After being picked up they drove around, to an unknown house.

Deputies say while at the home a subject name Fredrick Downer approached the car and struck one of the victims in the head with a gun. Downer then entered the car holding the victims at gunpoint, refusing to allow them to leave.

Deputies say as Mitchell drove the vehicle on W Blue Ridge Drive she came to a stop at White Horse Road, where the three victims jumped out of the car. As they were getting out of the car Downer fired shots at the victims striking one in the neck. The victims split up at that point, running into previously stated businesses. The male victim that was shot was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

The Sheriff's Office Armed Robbery Unit is assigned to this case and has signed ten warrants on Downer charging him with three counts of Armed Robbery and Kidnapping, two counts of Assault with Intent to Kill, and one count each of Criminal Conspiracy and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. Warrants have also been issued for Mitchell charging her with three counts of Armed Robbery and Kidnapping, with one count of Criminal Conspiracy. Currently investigators are continuing to search for the suspects and are also speaking with witnesses. On December 14, 2009 at approximately 8:00 pm, the Sheriff's Office randomly conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at White Horse Road and W Blue Ridge Drive. During the stop the passenger of the car ran from the car to elude deputies leaving the driver. The passenger has been identified as Fredrick Downer.
