If it’s too good to be true, it probably is, unless you like Denny’s Grand Slam Breakfast. It was free for everyone in the country Tuesday thanks to their Super Bowl ad.
The line to get into the Denny’s along Reidville Road in Spartanburg stretched along the side of the building for more than 8 hours Tuesday. People by the hundreds went to the store to get their free Grand Slam, which consists of two pancakes, two eggs, two sausage links, and two pieces of bacon all on one plate.
Many people News Channel 7 spoke with thought there was going to be a catch, but there wasn’t. It was just an attempt to get people back to the restaurant and hopefully get future business.
Those that were still in line at the 2pm when the deal ended, at least at the Reidville Rd. store, got a coupon for a free Grand Slam for a later date.
