Congress passed a bill delaying the switch Wednesday. The original plan was to flip the switch February 17. Experts say 6.5 million Americans are not ready for the switch. The measure gave stations the option to stick to the originally scheduled date. News Channel 7 wants to give viewers more time to prepare. WSPA will not switch until June 12, according to WSPA General Manager Phil Lane. Viewers with analog sets who get News Channel 7 via translator will not need to get a converter.
