As bank employees try to recover from the horrors of yesterday dozens of witnesses will never forget what they say unfolded in front of their eyes.
Next door to the bank is a huge office building. During the robbery dozens of employees inside that building were trapped and later evacuated to a safe room.
News Channel 7 talked to Richard Blackwell over the phone during the robbery yesterday. Today he walked News Channel 7's reporter Elizabeth Owens around his office and showed he where everyone huddled together and prayed during those long hours.
The bank C.E.O Art Seaver says everything is not back to normal, but his employees are supporting each other like a family. This morning he met with many of them. He says they prayed and reflected on what happened yesterday.
Mr. Seaver was actually upstairs in his office during the robbery he saw the whole thing unfold from the bank surveillance cameras. He would not tell me if the two women hostages came back to work, but he did say it would take time for them to heal.
I did see one mother of an employee come into the bank and give her daughter a huge hug.
As you can imagine there is a great sense gratitude today. Mr. Seaver tells us his employees train for robberies but it's difficult to prepare for a hostage situation.
