With really cold temps like what we are expecting there are a lot of things you need to look out for.
The experts say that's very important to keep warm in the coming days. It can only take a matter of minutes once it reaches 25 degrees or lower to start suffering from the effects of hypothermia.
That means even a walk down the street once those temperatures drop could get dangerous for some of us.
The elderly and children of course are the most at risk categories, but because it doesn't get this cold around here too often the experts say they always see hypothermia patients in the ER when it does because many of us aren't prepared:
If you do start to tingle on your nose or fingertips, doctors say it's time to go inside and warm up. That is actually the first sign your body temperature is dropping too low.
Doctors say you can start to suffer hypothermia if your body temperature even drops two or three degrees.
Also if you have elderly neighbors or friends it's a good idea to keep a check on them in the next few days.
