Deputies from the Newberry County and Lexington County Sheriff's Offices combined on a bust of nearly 22 pounds of marijuana and made two arrests.
Jessie James Williamson, 32, of Newberry is charged with trafficking marijuana and conspiracy. Celeste Chapman Carrozza, 51, of Newberry is charged with conspiracy.
Deputies - along with SLED agents - searched the home at 9638 Highway 34 with a warrant Wednesday morning. Officers say they found 18 bricks of the drug.
Williamson is being held in the Newberry County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. Carroza received a $5000 personal assurance bond.
"This is a substantial amount of marijuana that has been removed from the streets of Newberry County," said Sheriff Lee Foster in a released statement. "We are pleased that our cooperation with Lexington County and SLED has allowed us to remove such a large amount of illegal drugs from being distributed into our county."
