The first night of competition produces two winners ar the Miss South Carolina Pageant in Spartanburg.
Elizabeth Tate, Miss Greater Greer, won the talent preliminary competition on Tuesday night with her piano performance.
Ellen Neely, Miss Lexington County Peach Festival, was named the winner of the physical fitness award.

Preliminary competitions will continue Wednesday and Thursday night at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium starting at 7:00pm.
The Miss South Carolina and Miss South Carolina Teen finals will be held Saturday night at the Auditorium.
