Cathy Diane Ferguson used counterfeit checks to defraud businesses in Spartanburg County, according to investigators. Detectives say Ferguson cashed a check for $2,500 June 8, 2009 at the Fas-Way Food Store in Enoree. Then investigators say she defrauded another business out of $3,000. Two arrest warrants have been signed for those two incidents charging Ferguson with forgery. Ferguson is also wanted in other cities, including Columbia, S.C. on charges of failure to appear and forgery. Investigators say Ferguson has a criminal history dating back to 1985. In 1993, she was arrested on 59 fraudulent check charges, according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office. If you have any information call CrimeStoppers at 58-CRIME.
