Over 100 temporary employees with the Covidien plant in Seneca will be losing their jobs, according to a company press release. The company says the layoffs are due to the reduction in the anticipated demand for vascular therapy compression sleeves. The layoff is effective Wednesday, July 8.
Currently the company employs 500 full time workers.
The company expects a reduced demand for compression sleeves will continue into fiscal year 2010.
