A vehicle crashed through the yard of an Upstate home and the driver had to be taken to the hospital. Taylors Firefighters said an SUV plowed into a parked pickup truck in the driveway of a home on East Lee Road in Taylors around 12:45 a.m. Thursday morning. Both vehicles were crumpled and emergency workers airlifted the driver of the SUV to the hospital.
Investigators said if the SUV had not been turning at the angle it did, the vehicle could have hit the house. A driver passing by called 911.
Huy Pham said, "I was definitely scared. I was like, I was wondering how many lives were at stake there. I just first thought to call emergency 911 and all that."
News Channel 7 does not know the victim's condition or why the driver ran off the road. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating the wreck.
