Greenville Police have arrested a man on 40 charges which include accusing him of 29 auto breakings over recent weeks.
Joe Douglas Whitten, 41, of Greenville is also charged with six counts of larceny, two burglaries, credit card fraud, forgery and car theft.
Whitten was arrested by Greenville Police on May 30, but a detective has spent weeks investigating other cases before the extra charges were brought against the suspect.
Greenville Police says these charges clear up a number of auto breaking cases in the area. Whitten is being held in the Greenville County Detention Center.
Each of the auto breaking charges has a $2,500 bond according to the jail website.
