A Greenville teenager says a fake cop tried to write her a ticket for jay walking outside her Summer job.
According to police reports, it happened Monday afternoon at the YWCA on Augusta Street.
The 17-year-old girl says the man drove up in a white Ford crown victoria, similar to a police car, with a spotlight on the side. She says she crossed Augusta Street to catch a bus home when the man took her name and told her she could pick-up her ticket for jay walking at the courthouse. The victim says the man then left.
Greenville Police don't know exactly why this happened, but are looking for suspects driving a similar vehicle.
