A man drowned and his remains are found early Monday morning in Western North Carolina. Rescuers started looking for the victim around 11:00 p.m. Sunday night off Fire Tower Road in the Mill Spring Community of Polk County.
News Channel 7's photographers could not get very close to the scene, but they observed emergency flashing lights and rescue teams near the Green River.
News Channel 7 recieved word early Monday morning that two men went fishing and took an ATV to the river. The Mill Spring Fire Chief said they found one man's body in the water, but they were not sure how he got there.
The victim's name has not been released.
