The Anderson County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing woman from Charleston.
The search Wednesday afternoon is at Highway 24 at the Seneca River.
The Sheriff says a tip led them to this point in Anderson County. At this point they are just investigating the tip.
The tip was in regards to a woman from Charleston who has been missing since June 12. She is 28-year-old Katherine Waring.
According to a police report, Waring previously told her father about receiving a text which said, “if you caused this to happen you will be the first to die.“ Another text told her when she came home and what she was wearing to imply someone was watching her. It’s not known who sent those text messages.
Our sister station in Charleston reports that the Charleston City Police Department does not suspect foul play.
