One person has dead after a one car collision in Laurens County Wednesday night.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol told News Channel 7 that the unidentified driver of a 2001 Plymouth Neon struck a tree at Apple Orchard Road and Charlotte Road, near Clinton. The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. and the Highway Patrol said that the driver was wearing a seatbelt.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of family, but sources have indicated that the driver is a 15 year old who did not have a driver's license.
