A Union Public Safety official was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

A Union Public Safety official was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Lance Cpl. Kathy Hiles of the South Carolina Highway Patrol says that Union Public Safety Fire Captain Gerald Anthony (Tony) Gregory was arrested around 10:45 Friday night on Highway 215 in Union county. Hiles says a trooper made a routine traffic stop and smelled what appeared to be alcohol on Gregory's breath and Gregory was cooperative and agreed to a field sobriety test in which he failed.

Gregory was transported to the Union County Detention Center. He has since been released.
