Former Gaffney Police narcotics office Kevin Wilson was found not guilty on DUI charges Monday.
He was arrested and charges with DUI and troopers say he crashed a city-owned truck into a bridge.
The Highway Patrol says Wilson was off duty and working a security job.
Wilson is currently working as a paramedic.
Wilson won officer of the year in the past for rescuing a woman who was being held hostage by a murder suspect.

The man told investigators he was handcuffed to his steering wheel and robbed by a police impersonator Friday morning.
A student at RS Middle School in Rutherfordton, NC was given an alcohol breath test after school officials say alcohol was smelled on the child. The test came back negative.
Another rock slide fell on Interstate 40 near the North Carolina/Tennessee border Friday around noon.
