Clarissa Blackmore loves to read. "I read everything from science fiction to young adult literature, fantasy thrillers, you name it." She says reading as much as she does can get really expensive. "It always exceeded $250.00 a year just for professional books, not to mention just pleasure reading." However, about 3 years ago Clarissa says she found an alternative to buying expensive books, a website called Bookins that trades books and DVD's. She says, "The best sellers that are in the book stores at full price that are on the New York Times best seller list, I have been able to find for $4.49 on Bookins."
Here's how it works. You list the books you are willing to send to other readers. You get points for those books based on their worth. Then you can trade in those points for books you want. Clarissa says its really simple. "As people request your book, Bookins prints a mailing label for you. It costs you nothing but an envelope to stick the book in." There is a small charge for shipping when you are receiving a book or DVD. Clarissa says, "You pay $4.49 when you order a book, but to mail a book they have made it as easy as it can possibly be." According to Clarissa, it's a small price for a world of entertainment in a tough economy. When we checked, we found four of the New York Times best sellers listed on Bookins. Clarissa says the books take about a week to get to her. If you would like to know more click here.
