»  Comments | Post a Comment

The sister of a man charted with kidnapping a North Carolina family is now speaking. She says she knows why Jerry Case did it. Investigators said case kidnapped a man, his daughter, and her two children in Gaston County, North Carolina.
The victims were able to escape when Case stopped at a gas station in Cherokee County, South Carolina.
Deputies shot him after they say he fired first. Case appeared in federal court in Charlotte for the first time to face charges of kidnapping and assaulting law enforcement.
So why would he kidnap and terrorize a family? Case's is sister Glenda and mother Helen McDonald said he mistakenly believed he was going to be sent to prison for "driving while intoxicated."
Case said he kidnapped the family to take him to Tennessee so he could say goodbye to his family.
Then he was going to head west where police would 'never find him'. Case is due back in court next week
