Anderson County Sheriff’s Office says a police chase ended Monday afternoon at Pendleton High School.
The school was locked down this morning.
They say there were three people in a truck that was pulling a trailer with a vehicle on it. They say a male driver, a male passenger and a female passenger were inside.
Deputies say they got a tip that the driver was wanted on warrants and also that he assaulted the female and forced her into the truck.
They say they had concerns this was a possible kidnapping/ assault case.
Deputies say they began pursuit of the truck and the driver called into 911 saying he had kids in the car, he’d hurt the kids if they didn’t stop.
They say once they finally got him to pull over, they found the woman hysterical, and the male passenger was also wanted on warrants from Pickens County.
Deputies say the and the male driver was wanted on more than 10 warrants, including some drug charges.
