A Clinton man died early Monday morning after an accident on Torrington Road in Laurens County.
Guy Adair Tumblin, 88, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Laurens County Coroner at 6:30am after the one car accident about three miles east of Laurens.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says Tumblin was traveling north on Torrington Road - near Curry Road - when he drove off the right side of the road, corrected, but then went off the left side of the pavement.
The 2008 Ford hit some railroad tracks before it struck some trees at 5:40am.
Tumblin died from blunt force injuries to his chest and head according to the coroner.
