A Chesnee woman is being held Tuesday after being charged with threatening to kill a sheriff's deputy.
Juanita Marie Nichols is charged with resisting arrest with injury to an officer, threatening the life of a public official plus assault and battery after the incident Sunday afternoon.
Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office deputies went to a disturbance call at a home at 3308 Highway 11. Officers say three people were arguing at the home and they tried to calm emotions down, but Nichols resisted.
Two deputies had to restrain Nichols according to the sheriff's office after she became combative.
A female deputy says Nichols came at her and she used a TASER to subdue her according to the incident report. Nichols continued to come after the deputy and pulled the TASER prongs out. Another deputy helped subdue the suspect.
Nichols was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. The incident report says Nichols threatened the deputy on the drive by saying "I will find out where you live and I will burn your house down. I'll find you without that uniform and I will kill your ---."
Nichols was being held Tuesday morning at the Spartanburg County Detention Center according to the jail website.
